1. What did you learn from these activities? I learned how to tone colors and what colors make what.

This painting is the beach I would like to call it Miami Beach. Unlike the Carolina beaches they actually have palm trees on the actual beaches and they are beautiful. In this painting I have clouds to help replicate the sky, I have blue sky's for how it would look at the beach, water/waves for the water, sand, and palm trees with coconuts falling from it.

This is the picture I used to help with the idea with my painting. Obviously I added more things to my painting to make it look different and more creative in my own way.

Inspired Artist: First Blog Post
The artist I have chosen is Steeven Salvat is work and drawings have blown me away. The details he puts into his work is unreal and is something I have never seen before and is truly amazing. His detail in his work is what stood out to me and why I picked him. Information on Mr. Salvat: He is a French artist from Menton, and was born in 1990. He lives and works in Paris and has a passion in drawing, and nature. In his early years he loved to draw and met with artist to work on him and his craft that person being Theo Jan. He kept with it throughout his life and ended up becoming the legendary artist he is today. The material he uses includes: a hatching technique, using black ink, Rotring pens, a lot of lines and hundreds of hours worth of work and time. He's really big on details and making it look the most realistic as possible so he spends a long long time working on his art projects. What I find interesting in him is how he's able to incorporate animals with literally anything in his drawing and it looks beautiful. I also find interesting that he doesn’t often use colors in his works and primarily sticks to black/grey/white. In Salvats work whats inspiring to me is how much time he puts into his work. It's more than any other artist I've seen and his work is impeccable. I have never seen anything else like it in my life and it's insane on how good and realistic it looks. His drawings have me feel like I can just pick up whatever he drew because it looks so real. He goes through every single detail possible and makes every line count and is truly inspiring and something I would like to try. Lastly what draws me into his work so much is how real everything he makes looks and how detailed everything is and looks absolutely beautiful. He also includes really cool gears and other mechanical things in his works that make it one of a kind. Here are my top 3 drawings he has done: https://www.steeven-salvat.com/

My project is 3 photos that I edited myself of things around me during this quarantine. The first picture is my car. I worked on my car a lot over the break and spent a lot of time working on it and driving it. I made a cool cartoon texture on it to show how I view my car as a fun thing I enjoy! Covid-19 gave me a lot of free time so making my car nicer was what I liked to do. The second picture is my lap top as I’m laying in bed with a cool sketch edit i made around my computer to focus more on the computer itself. In the picture and on the computer screen is me looking at random clothes on the Internet and finding stuff to do with all the free time. My computer became very important throughout this because I watch movies and play games on my computer when I'm bored.I focused on the computer screen when I edited it to show how I become focused when I’m looking at stuff on there. The third picture is a street in my neighborhood. I took this picture because with Covid there’s been no one in my neighborhood out. Like how it would be at night time is how it feels 24/7 there’s no one out at night just like how there’s no one out during the day so it feels so weird not seeing people and feels like the worlds on pause. It makes it feel like the streets are empty and it might as well be always night time. I also added movement with the lights to seem scary like it would be on empty streets. That’s what inspired me with that picture and with the edit I added a cool pastel edit to make it seem a little more scary because it’s odd with all the stuff going on. What I found successful was my edits on my pics! From this project I learned how to take cooler pictures and edit cool photos!
Object Organizer Project
My piece is colored pencils arranged in a color coordinated pattern. The colors are organized by one type of color along with a darker and light version of that same type of color. For example in the picture you can see the smaller light purple next to the big dark purple and so on. It starts with the color white and ends with black. I was inspired to do this because of my little sisters love to color and we have hundreds of colored pencils in my house and I’ve seen many cool patterns but I love the way this one looks best. The lighter colors are smaller and the darker are bigger and they align up to give it a cool pattern look. The pattern goes big pencil then small one and it keeps going all the way down and gives it an awesome look. It makes the colors prettier to look at and easier to spot out what you need. The way I arranged the colored pencils I found very successful and it’s pretty to look at!I learned that color coordinated stuff is really cool to look at and I even want to try it now with my closet! It’s very pleasing to the eye and will try and do it more often!
Object into Art Project
In this piece I have 5 different photos using different things around my room. Plus I added a bonus picture I drew of one of the best shows ever made. The first picture is medicine pills being poured out the bottle. For acne I take these pills everyday and it’s always by my bed so I was inspired to do it because they are always by me. The picture is made to feel like the pills spilled out the bottle. With the color matching the pill color. The second picture is a water bottle with flowers coming out from it. This picture is supposed to look like flowers are growing out of the bottle. I got this idea because I remember doing a science experiment and we had to try and grow a plant from a bottle and it worked. The third picture is a guy looking at his watch wanting to know what the time is so he has the watch on his wrist. I was inspired to do this because my grandpa just gave me his Gucci watch he used to wear and I love it. So i made the picture look like it’s a guy with a watch on his wrist. The fourth picture is a IPhone with a twist. I used an old phone case of mine and used it to make it look like a phone. I wrote stuff that would be on the front of a iPhone screen and put the case on top to make it look like it’s an actual phone. Its also the same proportion of an actual iPhone making it more realistic. The fifth picture is a funny faced guy wearing goggles. I was inspired to do this picture because I love to go swimming and Wear goggles to see stuff underwater. This picture is made to make it seem like a guy is wearing goggles ready to go swimming. The bonus picture is Doodlebob from the famous show Spongebob Squarepants. Wear he created doodlebob from drawing him with a pencil then doodlebob went cray and took the pencil from spongebob and would create crazy stuff with the pencil. Whatever he would draw with the pencil would form and come to life and that’s how he was made. I feel successful on how my creative drawings came out and my silly ideas. I learned how to be a little more creative on stuff around my room and draw using real life things and connecting it to a drawing.
Portrait Drawing Project
In this piece I drew a portrait of my friend Brock. I was inspired to do this piece of Brock because he was over at my house earlier and he is someone i'm close with. He has dark hair with blue eyes and a sharp jawline. In this piece I tried to make it look like him as much as possible with his smaller nose, round ears, and spiky hair. The color of his skin, eyes and mouth make it look for realistic along with the hair. I tried to Balance his emphasize is hair as much as I could and balance it with how his hair looks in real life. I feel successful with how this turned out and I love how the hair looks. I learned how to actually draw a self portrait because I never knew how to before.
Won this from the Clay challenge game at my table!
